Jungle Theatre Company
We use family theatre and drama to promote our vision of a society that is environmentally, socially and culturally conscious and active. As an award winning, dynamic non profit and public benefit organisation, we bridge the divide between commercial and community theatre. We create original proudly South African productions that use the mediums of multi-lingual storytelling; visual puppetry and physical theatre and are accessible to all.
We have performed at the National Arts Festival, Out The Box Festival, Voorkamerfest and Cape Town Festival but our speciality is schools outreach educational productions and tours. We mainly perform at schools in many communities across the Cape Town metropolitan area but we have also travelled further afield including the Overberg and Soweto.
We are looking forward to using the Interactive Theatre and Education Catalogue as a way to connect with teachers, principals and other educational role players so we can maximise the time we spend with young people and work in partnership with schools to support learners through engaging education. We have a range of different interventions to support creative arts learning including touring productions, drama workshops and twinning events at theatres.
